It was a day of fun in the sun as Tropicana hosted its fifth signature cycling event, Tropicana go-go-FIT Cycle on Sunday, 28 August 2022. Officiated by Menteri Besar of Selangor, YAB Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, the event was a huge success, drawing more than 900 fitness enthusiasts, families and fun-seekers to Tropicana Aman, Kota Kemuning. Energetic participants came in droves for a 20km fun ride showcasing the township’s 85 acres Central Park, as well as an 80km elite ride to Banting supervised by commissaires from the Malaysian National Cycling Federation.
Fostering healthy lifestyles in the spirit of the Merdeka month, Tropicana go-go-FIT featured fun carnival activities and lucky draws for visitors to enjoy, as well as delicious refreshments and cool drinks at a food truck area. The event also saw the donation of 105 care packs to the underprivileged community by Tropicana Foundation, the Group’s charity arm.
“We applaud Tropicana’s good initiative to spur interest in healthy living while bringing the community together. I am also gratified to see the turnout from the community, and look forward to more positive initiatives like this in the future,” said Amirudin at the event.
“As a homegrown Malaysian brand, we want to celebrate the unique traits that make us a true community. Through Tropicana go-go-FIT Cycle, we are delighted to bring people from all walks of life together to foster healthy lifestyles, while showcasing Tropicana Aman as a walking and biking community. At the same time, we donated essential food and care packs to assist the underprivileged in and around Kota Kemuning, such as orang asli settlements and children in need. These initiatives underscore the Group’s commitment to Redefining the Art of Healthy Living as well as the Art of Caring. We deeply appreciate the outpouring of support from all our participants and visitors today,” enthused Joanne Lee, Tropicana’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
The merriment began with early morning exercises for everyone to loosen up before the main event. This was followed by the flag-off at Tropicana Aman’s Recreational Hub, launching eager cyclists into the fun and elite rides. Throughout the day, 30race marshals, two ambulances and paramedics remained on standby to ensure the safety and security of participants and visitors.

Concurrent with Tropicana go-go-FIT Cycle, fun games and activities such as a Ring Toss, Bulls Eye and Interactive Bicycle Lightbulb Challenge drew excited crowds to the day-long carnival at the Tropicana Aman Recreational Hub. Visitors could also opt to rent a yellow bicycle to experience the Central Park’s 7km bike trail.
Rounding out the day, Tropicana Foundation’s donation to the House of Love Children’s Home and Bukit Cheeding Community Management Council included essentials such as rice, canned foods, cooking oil, sanitiser, cleaning detergent and more. Tropicana's agriculture arm, Greenhouse Farm & Fishery contributed fresh vegetables such as green spinach, lady fingers and Chinese broccoli as well. The support was channeled to 75 orang asli families in Bukit Cheeding as well as 24 children and six caretakers in the House of Love, in line with Tropicana’s core mission to engage the underprivileged community via its charity arm.
