Salad Atelier was founded on the principle of providing healthy whole foods in response to the country’s dramatic rise in obesity and noncommunicable disease rates. Launched in November 2018, Kanteen serves a wide spread of crowd-pleasing classics. The menus are extensive, with an equal emphasis on Eastern and Western cuisines. Kanteen has it all, from Shakshuka Baked Eggs to local favourites like Nasi Lemak and Satay, as well as noodles that many of us are familiar with. Not forgetting the health conscious, Kanteen’s menu includes plant-based options. Must-tries are the Spicy Chilli Vegan Sausage, and the Minced-Basil Tofu Bowl.
There is also a vegan breakfast option that includes scrambled tofu, vegan sausages, hash browns, beans, and greens. Then there's the Vegan Mac no Cheese, in which the chef incorporates nutritional yeast into a pumpkin and cashew base. Kanteen also provides plant-based milks for coffees, such as oat milk, almond milk, and soy milk.
