Tropicana Corporation History

Tropicana Corporation Berhad brings together a range of diverse companies devoted to the same ideals – to deliver value to our customers and investors by creating quality developments in which people want to live, work and play.

Tropicana Corporation is a pioneer in resort-style home concepts with a strong track record in residential and commercial developments. We consistently provide customers with attractive and sustainable developments while extracting high value from the land we develop. 90% of the Group’s revenue is generated by its property development, resort operations and property investment.

Tropicana Corporation Berhad also successfully manages a realm of businesses that includes Property Investment, Property Management, Investment Holding and Manufacturing. This large scale of successful ventures propelled the Group onto the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia in 1995. Since then, the Company has consistently explored new frontiers with significant growth potential such as retail and office space, hotel and education.

After more than two decades in the property industry, and having pioneered residential resort-style living with the advent of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, we established a development DNA that sets us apart. This DNA focusses on accessibility, connectivity, innovative concepts and designs, generous open spaces, amenities, facilities, multi-tiered security and quality. With emphasis on our customers’ needs, we have been innovating and redefining the art of living through the creation of our integrated developments by incorporating residential and commercial components to create thriving townships that are strategically connected.

Our Name



Over 20 years ago, we were the first to introduce resort-style living into residential property developments under the name Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. The name Tropicana has since become a signature of Dijaya. Many of our subsequent developments proudly carry the Tropicana Brand in their names, and the Tropicana development DNA in their concepts.

Our Logo



Our new logo mark is derived from the symbiotic relationship with the signature Tropicana brand and leverages this asset. The “T/Tree” mark which has come to be recognised and acknowledged for quality, creativity, innovation and reliability now becomes the primary Logomark for the Group. The T-mark is set within a circle to reflect the regional ambitions and footprint of the Group. The new logo mark will create cohesiveness across the corporate brand, subsidiary brands and all product brands.
Our Colour

         

Our corporate green colour echoes the forests of nature, depicting a constant growth in our corporate endeavours, while at the same time highlighting our responsibilities toward the environment.


Broadening Horizons
 
While our prestigious property developments represent Tropicana Corporation’s core product offerings, we are also exploring new frontiers with significant growth potential. The Group has already expanded its product offerings to include retail and office spaces with the development of Tropicana City, and will soon move into other sectors such as hospitality and education.

Following an aggressive landbanking phase, the Group is now ready to begin reaping the benefits. With ongoing projects and future developments located in various hotspots, the Group plans to maintain strong sales and profitability as recorded in 2013. The Group’s future will be guided by its core strategies. We are also mindful that every product that we deliver is complete with Tropicana’s development DNA.

In Klang Valley, the Group has lined up new projects as well as additional new phases to its current developments such as Tropicana Gardens and Tropicana Avenue in Kota Damansara, Tropicana Metropark in Subang, Tropicana Heights in Kajang, Tropicana Aman in Kota Kemuning and The Residences and W Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

In Penang, the Group entered into a joint-venture agreement with Ivory Properties Group Berhad to develop Penang WorldCity in Bayan Mutiara. The first phase of theproject, known as Tropicana Bay Residences has received great response from the market, achieving over 80% take- up rate. Meanwhile, the Group also entered into a hotel management agreement with Marriott International for the development of the first-ever ‘Courtyard by Marriott’ in Malaysia at Tropicana 218 Macalister in Penang Island.

Down south in Johor, the Group will further develop its presence in Iskandar Malaysia with vibrant and integrated developments such as Tropicana Danga Bay and Tropicana Danga Cove.

In Sabah, the Group has already begun on the development of the luxurious golf-fronted condominium, Tropicana Landmark.

The location provides easy access to the Kuala Lumpur city centre and the rest of the Klang Valley via the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP), SPRINT Expressway and the Penchala Link.
