KUALA LUMPUR: Dijaya Corp Bhd's Tropicana Grande luxury condominium development recently picked up two accolades at the 2011 Asia Pacific Property Awards and is now in the running for the World's Best Title at the International Property Awards.
In a statement yesterday, Dijaya said its golf-fronted luxury development was named Best Residential HIgh-Rise Development with the highest five-star rating in Malaysia and Best Residential High-Rise Development in the Asia Pacific.
"These awards are testimonies to our ongoing endeavour to create the much sought-after Tropicana-branded products that offer buyers more than just properties, but contemporary lifestyle living," Dijaya managing director said in a statement.
Top scorers from each category of the property awards are set to compete against other high-scoring companies from Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia, the International Property Awards' organiser said in a statement on its website.
The final results of the World's Best in each property development category will be unveiled in London on Dec 12.
Other regional projects accorded five-star ratings in the high rise residential development category are The Cosmos of Chendu by KWG Property Holding Ltd in China, The Westminster Terrace by Grosvenor and Asia Standard in Hong Kong, Raheja Iconic Tower by Raheja
Developers Ltd in India and Beau Rivage by CapitalLand Vietnam Holdings Pte in Vietnam.
Tropicana Grande is a low density high-end residential development on a 5.17-acre (2.1ha) leasehold site within Dijaya's flagship Tropicana Golf & Country Resort.
Its four towers, either 38 or 39 storeys, have a total of 328 units ranging from 2,283 sq ft to 6,600 sq ft in built-up area.
Tropicana Grande's units are priced from RM1.8 million with the project's total gross development value estimated at RM540 million. Its construction is expected to be completed in December 2012.
