Dijaya Corp Berhad is banking on the long term development of Iskandar Malaysia as the main draw in attracting interest to its Danga Bay project in Johor.
YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Danny Tan Chee Sing, Dijaya Group Chief Executive Officer said apart from the project’s location on prime waterfront land, Johor’s proximity to Singapore would be another selling point.
The Johor Venture
In Johor, Dijaya has bought two parcels of land measuring 37 acres at the Danga Bay Integrated Waterfront City which it will develop through a joint-venture company with its partner, Iskandar Water Front Sdn Bhd.
The land was bought as part of a strategic move to secure a foothold in the booming Iskandar Malaysia zone.
Dijaya and Iskandar Water Front are planning to develop an integrated waterfront project that will be called Tropicana City @ Danga Bay, attracting investors from Malaysia and neighbouring countries.
The project will comprise a retail street-mall, office towers and residences, SoHo (small office/home office) and a four- or five-star hotel.
