St Joseph Institution International Malaysia at Tropicana Indah Resort Homes
St Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (“SJII Malaysia") is a brother school of the esteemed St Joseph’s Institution and SJI International in Singapore. Founded in 1852, St. Joseph's Institution is the 3rd oldest secondary school in Singapore.
Located in the heart of Tropicana Indah Resort Homes, next to the prestigious Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, SJII Malaysia provides Lasallian holistic education for 3 to 18 year olds. It offers International Primary Curriculum, Singapore Math and a strong Mandarin Programme as well as the International General Certificate of Secondary Education and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (“IBDP”). The IBDP is widely recognised as one of the world’s most challenging educational programmes. It is a rigorous and exciting two-year educational programme which gives students the opportunity to gain access to the best universities in the world.
Under the Shareholders Agreement signed on 2014, Tropicana undertook to build SJII Malaysia complete with world-class facilities on a 6-acre plot of land with a built-up area of approximately 333,000 sq ft. The school is operated by Lasallian Asian Partnerships for International Schools (“LAPIS”) and able to accommodate up to 1,500 local and international students. Construction was completed on March 2016.
The Tropicana PJ campus will offer wide-ranging facilities such as indoor sports hall, swimming pool, auditorium / performing arts centre, separate elementary & high school library, soccer field, tennis court and nurses station. GEMS International School at Tropicana Metropark
January 2015 marked another milestone for Tropicana Group. Staying true to its mission to bring educational excellence in each of its townships, Tropicana entered into an agreement with renowned global educational group GEMS Education to develop a school campus in the 88-acre integrated Tropicana Metropark in Subang Jaya.
Under the agreement, Tropicana undertook to build an international school campus complete with world-class facilities on a 5-acre plot of land with a built-up area of approximately 229,000 sq ft within the Tropicana Metropark development. The school was completed in 2017 and is operated by GEMS Education. The school can accommodate up to 2,400 local and international students aged 3 to 18. GEMS prepare students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education, AS and A Level examinations of the Cambridge International Examinations. It offers a hybrid international and Malaysian curriculum including Bahasa Melayu, Islamic/Moral Studies, History, Art and Design, Music and Drama in a Malaysian context to strengthen roots in Malaysian values, culture and development. GEMS will also offer an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Founded in 2000, GEMS Education focuses on advancing education for primary and secondary students hailing from over 150 nationalities across 19 countries – from the Middle East, North America and Europe to Asia and Africa. TENBY International School at Tropicana Aman
On April 2015, Tropicana added another feather to its cap by entering into a conditional agreement with Tenby Schools to develop an international school campus within the heart of its latest 863-acre self-contained Tropicana Aman township development at Shah Alam, Selangor.
Under the agreement, Tropicana undertook to build a 10-acre international school campus with a built-up area of approximately 225,000 square feet that can accommodate up to 1,800 local and international students. Known as Tenby International School offers international student-oriented programmes for students aged from 3 to 18 years old, including International Primary Curriculum, National Curriculum for England, IGCSEs and A-Level programmes.
Established in 2007, Tenby Schools is a rapidly expanding group of international and Malaysian private schools in Malaysia. Having started in Ipoh, Perak there are now also Tenby Schools in Penang, Shah Alam, Sarawak and Johor. All Tenby Schools campuses are housed in purposed-built modern facilities to meet the needs for learning and teaching in the 21st century.
The collaboration between Tropicana and Tenby Schools will benefit the local community within Tropicana Aman, Kota Kemuning and the surrounding Shah Alam neighbourhoods as it provides access to quality international education at affordable fees.
