OVER the course of six weeks, Tropicana Corporation Bhd managed to rake in RM600mil in sales from its Tropicana Collection property campaign.

The campaign, held from April 15 to May 31, had showcased some of its developments in prime areas of Penang, the Klang Valley, Iskandar Malaysia and Kota Kinabalu.

According to Tropicana marketing and sales executive director Pam Loh, a total of 576 units of houses and shops were sold as of May 30, of which 40% was from the Tropicana Metropark, Danga Cove and Danga Bay developments.

She stated that prices of the properties went as low as RM400,000 and above for studio apartments and up to RM7mil for bungalows.

Tropicana Group chief executive officer Datuk Yau Kok Seng said that through the campaign, the company had exceeded its sales projections, having sold more than RM1bil worth of property to-date.

The company has a sales target of over RM2bil for this year.

He also said that the company achieved substantial results in the campaign by focusing on the needs of customers.

“All our developments are built on the pillars of accessibility, connectivity, innovative designs, multi-tiered security, well-landscaped gardens, amenities, facilities and quality.

“We don’t just provide building blocks, we provide a lifestyle, a concept and a safe environment,” Yau said.

He added that the campaign was structured in such a way that it provided customers with just the right product, package and price, at the right locations.

Among some of the things delivered in the packages included the waiving of fees for sales and purchase agreements as well as loan documentation.

Riding on its recent accomplishments, Tropicana will also be launching new projects in the second half of the year.

These include developments in Tropicana Aman, Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Heights and Tropicana Danga Bay.

The company is also looking to set up another regional office in China to tap demand from customers through regional networks.

The company currently has two regional offices; one in Shanghai and one in Singapore.
